Interested to know what kind of gym everyone uses?
Large commercial, spit & sawdust or home gym?
Large commercial, spit & sawdust or home gym?
In the process of doing exactly the same myself!Home gym for me. It is my sanctuary away from the kids and with it only being in the garage I find I am more motivated to train. I set it up with an old flat screen TV and an android box. Yeah it does not have as much gear as a full gym but I have all I need.
I have 2 benches, one for bench presses with built in stands and a second adjustable (incline to decline) with leg extension. A squat stand and tricep dip station. I also have a pull up bar attached to the roof and what I call ‘the Polish Pully’ for lat pull downs etc. It is all I need for now really.I have a basic gym in my spare room. Bench, rack, a pair of powerblock db, and the bare essentials of plates..... enough for me
Some commercials aren’t bad at all these days, can definitely get a decent-ish session in, just avoid peak timesI've always bounced around.
Powerlifting rig in the shed with 300kg of plates and various items of torture. But I like to use several different places which are mostly commercial ones unfortunately, but they do have nice stuff to look at ;-)
They are building a new one of these local to me. Might check it out when it opens.Puregym for me it's good for me its open 24 hours works well with my shift pattern
Why do people do that go to a gym just for a body part like some fancy machine makes you bigger lol. Just do the old school way squat then super set that with leg press 30-40 rep 3 sets no need for fancy machinesUse a good local one. Used to go Ultraflex on leg days , but gone up to £9 a session ffs ! So won’t be going there anymore
That is very true bud a good environment helps massively in training I find tooMy goto leg exercise is Hack squat , beats squatting for me , did years of squatting , get better results from Hacks
My gym doesn’t have one ? I like the variety of a different gym now and again. New faces and a change of environment keeps it interesting I suppose
Nice mate!
