That's the way I felt about it.
I had to get a loan to finance it & i know we all have different priorities but from my point of view it was worth it.
I have never regretted it. I made a full recovery which can't be guaranteed but going with someone like Gordon MacKay gives you the best chance.
Cost about 4k but that was a few years ago.
Arthroscopy & repair. In other words go in for a look & repair damage. Was keyhole surgery to speed up recovery time.
I had no significant cartilage loss.
If you've got the cash mate go for it. Night & day compared to NHS & you know it's a specialist...
Shooting pain in shoulder when it was slightly out of position, even pulling a door closed with my arm raised was agony. When my shoulder was in a strong position it wasn't too bad, if that makes sense.
Went to various physios made no difference.

I completely detached the labrum in my right shoulder, which required surgery. Kept me out of gym for 3 months but made a full recovery.
Had surgery on Tuesday for umbelical hernia repair which will be a 4-6 week recovery time all going well.
I haven't trained at these gyms mate but I've trained at a few similar hard-core gyms through the years.
Met a lot of real characters who I would never have known otherwise.
Did the ligaments in his knee, required surgery. Kept him out the gym for months.
He made a couple of attempts to get back but his heart was never in it.
I trained with the same guy for more than 15 years until he got injured. Great company & motivation, also helped having a spotter you can trust. It was all loose weights we used back then.
Train solo now, at a time that suits me.
