Not for me, each to his own, but I really dislike this type of music.

I'm a massive fan of old school hip hop/rap/r-n-b/soul/funk/motown etc but I can't get my head around the type of stuff I hear these days. It's borderline terrible.

I love this girls voice/vocal range and the track keeps growing on me too. Very addictive tune.

Oh and yeah...I'd absolutely fuckin ruin the little bitch in the bedroom too :love:

The link to the Anthony Rother session flicked my switch for sure but before you start dissing us all here, rookie, you should perhaps listen to every tune in this thread before making personal assumptions and preaching about good music lol

P.S ...I'm an ex old school DJ from the UK rave/house music era when we used Technics SL1210s with none of the fancy digital stuff.

Music is the biggest passion in my life and I'm "open" to all genres.

@GJack

As you seem to like techno I'm going to take you back to early grass roots with this tune (just for starters). BPMs a bit slow on this link, needs plus+2 on the slider, but this track is a proper headbanger/loony tune if you're drugged up in a club :)

Cheers to you... me to... R&S one of the biggest old-school labels. I even have one plate of it at home. Sorry for my words, but I don't like when everebody listens the same shitty rap themes. Joe was good... he's still good for me B-)

I don't post much about my old school rave DJ days as the next generation of clubbers have forgotten about all that now and don't care but here's a link to one of my (ex) best mates DJ sets that's an example of top tier vinyl spinning mixed with digital tech. Follow him on youtube (y)

Long Live DJ Welly/Paul Welding !

Your mate has mad skills. He is scratchin like a hip-hop pro... nowadays you wont find guyz like him. My favourite UK DJ is Dave Clarke... his white noise is awesome show. Also have been once at John Digweed's show, not my type of music but he was good at decks.

P.S. your friend plays many familiar tracks, but dont remember their names.... such a nostalgy

He actually started as a hip-hop DJ but just doing it in his bedroom as a hobby. Then the illegal rave scene kicked off in the late 80s-early 90s and he made a big name for himself doing those parties and playing house music before eventually playing guest DJs sets at all the biggest clubs and venues around the North West UK. He's still a legend around here but he moved to Australia a long time ago.

He even produced and recorded a couple of banging rave tunes with another old mate of mine (Dave McBurney) under the artist name "Void" and these tunes went on to be iconic within the rave scene. Have a listen to these links: I still get goosebumps when I hear these tracks lol

Post more links to your own favourite tunes/music whenever you want to mate. This site is dead as fuck and hardly anyone ever talks but you've got my attention if you want to share and talk about music (y)
