train smart

This 100% (y)

I can't squat a 6 plate 1RM anymore and I don't weigh 18-19 stone anymore either but I still train hard and free of injuries and enjoy it with much lighter weights and I still look good/strong too even though I'm a lot smaller than I used to be.

Don't get deflated mate if they say you can't have a future in pro bbing. You will still be able to train/lift after rehab/physio no matter what your injuries are but you will need to adjust your mindset and training styles....that's all.

TBH...bbing is a mugs game for the young and dumb anyway IMO.

Mate I’m never competing they goals are done plus didn’t have the best genes lol just enjoying the training is the goal mate chase a wicked pump

Surgeon said it wasn’t as bad as he thought mild cartilage loss no labrum tear bicep tendon is loose but not to worry took a biopsy of the bursa didn’t remove it gutted here and washed out the shoulder there is some bone spurs he didn’t shave it down

Feels fine no pain but on meds
Hopefully got my range of motion back if not will need to remove the bursa shave bone praying though this has helped

From moving the arm zero improvement they didn’t fix anything though so if no infection comes beck I’m not leaving hospital until they fix this by removing the chronic inflamed bursa

Why they didn’t do it is beyond me

nhs yeah probably why
But why then why another surgery completely stupid if someone’s legs broken you don’t just wash it out you repair it so fking stupid.

And same pain same feeling just like before it and back side are stitched that doesn’t hurt so it’s needing removed absolute joke.

Gutted for you mate and wish you a quick and full recovery.
Like you say, maybe competing might no longer be a goal but so what!?
There are plenty of other fitness related pursuits & goals you can focus on instead, even lifting but like you say by training smart.

I’m sure you’ll be back in the gym sooner than you think and probably sooner than your GP would like, knowing you

Rest up mate and take it easy

I understand where you're coming from mate from when I blew my knee out that ended my serious training career....but the NHS is all about finances/money and not about making people feel better. Harsh reality, but true.

Yeah mate that’s spot on from what I’m told I respect it for being here very grateful but they aren’t going too go all out in fixing us back to lift a weight unless we go private

Gutted to hear this mate.
I agree, this sadly is an example of the difference between NHS & Private.
