It was Morrisons for a long time but I have never seen price increases like it lately.

Aldi is brilliant to be honest and get pretty much all my “own food” from there too.

Recently been getting steaks delivered on a Saturday from a lad who works at the abattoir.

Vacuum sealed and very nice cuts, £16 a kg for sirloin and £15 a kg for rump.

Tesco for any bits I have forgotten or need on a random day as there is one on most corners near me.

much water come out of them?

I was thinking that when I saw the price vs weight.
Sainsbury do frozen breasts for a cheap price but they're wafer thin and have been batted out to make them flat. I haven't tried them yet but I'm fairly sure they will have been injected with water and don't have the same macro values as a fresh chicken breast.

I usually just buy the whole cooked chickens that are spit roasted fresh daily on the deli counters and then strip all the meat off the carcass, shred it all together so it's moist and full of flavour (unlike a chicken breast), and divide into portions. I can get 6-8 decent portions from a mature bird or 4 from a baby poussin but that might not be achievable for someone who's bulking.

If I want good quality and big raw chicken breasts I use costco online or websites like the one in the link below:
5kg fresh for £35 (y)

I am surprised at how much water comes out when you cook meat ? It has been noticeable over the last couple of years, it’s a scam to charge more and make meat look better. Unfortunately it’s here to stay.
The only way to determine true weight would be to weigh after cooking as stated.
I dont count calories or macros, I just count meals eaten ? Most clean meals break down very similarly , almost a natural 40/60 split with some fats, i try for 4-5 meals a day and will get nice steady gains from that 🤗
