Anyone have any experience with motor traders insurance and starting out on your own? I've sold vehicles for multiple people in the past and repaired a lot myself. I am thinking of doing it part time myself or rather as and when I can, being registered disabled I want to do it all properly to avoid undesirable consequences, but I don't know if its worth taking the risk and potentially losing out financially as I've had to work hard to get what I have at the moment and I have a young family so keeping food on the table is a must. I've looked at registering as a sole trader and trade plates and being able to sell cars from home etc. but finding the right insurance is difficult and working out how much i can earn or need to earn.
